Answer 1
You must use an acrylic (not fiberglass) repair kit. Contact
S.R. Smith for purchase information.
Answer 2
Current S.R. Smith slides are manufactured in such a
way that they will hold their color for years without fading. The
only way to really refinish a runway is to have it gel-coated — a
local boat manufacturer could give a quote on that process. We have
not found any paint that is successful — too much peeling, or the
slide becomes non-slippery.
Answer
3
We do not have a slide guard available at this time although we are
looking at developing something in the future.
Answer
4
250 lbs. (Rogue,
Swim Club II,
Cascade
and Slinger); 150 lbs. (Little
Dipper)
Answer 5
For the
Rogue and Swim Club II slides the minimum deck is approx. 6 1/2
ft X 12 ft; for the
Cascade slide, minimum deck is approx. 9 ft X 6 ft; for the
Little Dipper slide, minimum deck is approx. 4 1/2 ft X 7 ft. Please
see our installation instructions for more information.
Answer 6
The Swim Club II slide is the premium version of the Rogue intended
for heavy-duty use; the legs, ladder and handrails are stainless
steel rather than aluminum as in the
Rogue. The Swim Club II is a commercial slide, please visit our Commercial
website.
Answer 7
Yes, the handrails are sold separately, available through a
reseller or as a custom order through S.R. Smith.
Answer 8
Yes, you would need to order a Slinger ladder and parts carton, and
a Cascade runway in any desired color.
Answer
9
The Frontier III slide had two U-frame legs as opposed to the four
straight legs on the new
Rogue . There is also an improved water supply system on the
Rogue using 1/2" rather than 1/4" tubing.
Answer 10
No, the Frontier III runway has two "saddles" glued to the underside
for the U-frame legs, where the
Rogue has four individual flanges glued on for the four straight
legs. The legs do not mount in exactly the same spots on the deck.
Answer 11
A product called "Iron Out" seems to successfully remove rust
without damaging the fiberglass.
Answer 12
We still manufacture ladders, legs, and handrails for the Duke and
the Queen models of the Aquaslides. The Duke was a 3-legged slide,
the Queen had 4 legs.
Answer 13
No, the
Rogue uses straight legs, while the Frontier had U framelegs.
